An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Programmer/Operator to join a precision engineering team. This role offers a chance to work in a highly skilled environment, producing precision parts and tooling for cutting-edge manufacturing projects.

The Role

As a CNC Programmer/Operator, you will:

* Create and manage CNC programs for various machinery, including CNC lathes, machining centers, EDM, laser cutting, and inspection systems.
* Update existing programs following design changes and oversee program control.
* Support production by calibrating tooling and operating machinery when necessary.
* Provide mentorship to apprentices and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
* Assist in the introduction of new machinery and processes.

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring:

* Extensive experience programming and operating CNC machines.
* Proficiency in CAD CAM/offline programming and interpreting engineering drawings.
* A minimum of City & Guilds or equivalent mechanical qualification.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with Lean manufacturing principles.
* Familiarity with standards such as ISO9001, ISO14001, and IATF16949.
* PC skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Desirable Skills:

* Experience with laser cutting machinery (training can be provided).
* Knowledge of process optimization tools, such as SMED and Poka Yoke.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 07:30 am - 4:30 pm and Friday: 07:30 am - 12:30 pm
