Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Fatigue Controller to cross-check the Fatigue Index, identifying and mitigating risks before issuing rosters.
- Efficiently allocate staff across all areas/departments, minimizing the need for volunteers, excessive travel, or lodging.
- Ensure, where possible, that dedicated crews are assigned to specific machines.
- Manage the annual leave for all Rail Grinding & Milling (RG&M) operational staff, ensuring confirmation of leave requests within seven days (either granted or declined).
- Participate in weekly rostering meetings with the management team and supervisors.
- Review and check rosters in collaboration with planners and operational managers before distribution to RG&M operators.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or anomalies within the rosters.
- Participate in daily, weekly, and periodic operational planning meetings as required.
- Input rostered hours into the OTMS database.
- Distribute weekly rostered hours to RG&M operational staff.
- Attend interface meetings with customers when needed.
Essential Skills:
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and Word.
- Excellent administrative and organizational abilities.
- High attention to detail.
- Knowledge and experience in general planning are desirable.
- Familiarity with rules and regulations related to rail plant operations is advantageous.
- A good geographical understanding of the railway infrastructure network is desirable.
