Your new companyDue to unprecedented demand, Hays Recruitment are looking to recruit a number of reliable and experienced teaching assistants to support our partnership schools on a supply basis. As a supply teaching assistant you will be able to pick your own availability, but you must be available for work between 8:30am - 3:30pm.Your new roleAs a supply teaching assistant at Hays, you will have the opportunity to pick your own availability and work in a number of different primary schools in Halton, all of which are extremely welcoming and supportive. You will be supporting in a class between EYFS - KS2, with duties varying dependent on the school and pupils needs (both physical and attainment). Your duties will typically include (varying between year groups) holding phonics sessions, aiding in general classroom and behaviour management, holding intervention and booster sessions and liaising with the class teacher on attainment needs.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered as a supply teaching assistant, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience working within a classroom within the last 2 years, as well as:

  • The ability to hold intervention and booster sessions
  • An NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is advantageous but not essential
