Join a highly respected manufacturing business as Interim HR Manager, covering a 12-14 month maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on HR professional to step into a truly generalist leadership role within a collaborative and well-established team.The Role:As Interim HR Manager, you'll be responsible for the full HR remit, supporting a varied workforce. You'll lead and work alongside a capable HR Officer, providing operational and strategic HR support to the wider business.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day HR operations, managing everything from employee relations to recruitment and training.
- Provide advice and guidance to line managers on HR policies and procedures.
- Oversee absence management, disciplinary, and grievance procedures.
- Take ownership of mid- to senior-level recruitment activity.
- Support and develop the HR Officer.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company procedures.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives.
- Maintain and improve HR documentation and records.
- Contribute to HR projects.
About You:
- Proven experience in an HR Manager role (5+ years minimum).
- Strong UK employment law knowledge.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, regulated, and operational environment.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or similar sector preferred.
- CIPD Level 7 qualified (or working towards); open to Level 5 for the right person.
- A practical, approachable HR leader who is happy to roll up their sleeves.
- Confident advising managers and working autonomously.
