Macildowie is delighted to be working with a client based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, to recruit an Accounts Assistant. This is a permanent, hybrid role offering a salary of up to £36,000 per annum.

About the Company:

With a turnover of £27.5 million last year, our client are recruiting for an experienced accounts assistant to work alongside one other accounts assistants, two qualified accountants as well as a purchase ledger clerk, reporting directly to the Finance Controller. This role is a result of business growth and increased transactional finance workload.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating monthly management dashboards.
  • Support the yearly budgeting process.
  • Prepare efficiency calculations.
  • Manage Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) tax obligations in the UK and ROI.
  • Support annual external audits and semi-annual internal audits.
  • Oversee key supplier accounts.
  • Prepare manual bank payments as needed.
  • Assist with overseas payment processes.
  • Analyse Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI) accounts monthly.
  • Raise sales invoices.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of accounts experience.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player mentality.
  • Advantageous: Manufacturing background, Microsoft Navision experience, US GAAP knowledge, proficiency in Microsoft Office.
