Fawkes & Reece are working with a national civils contractor who are looking for a Communication Manager to join the team and manage the day-to-day internal and external communications for their projects in Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of communication ensuring comms are delivered on time, and to the required quality standards. Occasional travel to different office locations may be required.

Responsibilities For Communication Manager

Monday - Friday

37.5 hour working week

Hours tend to be 8 - 4pm / 8:30 - 4:30pm

5 days onsite across Brixworth / Wellingborough / Towcester depots

  • Communications Manager for internal and external comms, covering the West and North Northants contracts.
  • They will be the sole comms contact onsite - there is no comms team onsite so they must be comfortable with this.
  • They will also look after social value. Role will be split around 70:30 comms / social value.
  • They have a social value coordinator who does the day to day, but this person will oversee social value.
  • They will work with the Kier Corporate comms team and the client comms teams.
  • It's quite an operational role - it's very reactive, so they must be able to handle changing priorities and be resilient to change.
  • They will work closely with SMT so must understand how their role supports SMT.
  • They must be confident in their delivery of the role; need initiative, confidence, strong relationship building skills, excellent organisation / prioritisation, and must have ability to keep pace of projects going - need to be comfortable chasing people and keeping to deadlines

Requirements For Communication Manager

  • Proven experience as a Communications Manager
  • Could consider a strong Communications Officer if they have the right behaviours
  • A clean UK driving license.
