Part Time Health, Safety and Quality Officer

Our client, a market leader in their field, is looking for an experienced HSQE Officer to join their team on a permanent, part time basis.

Hours are approximately 30 per week across 4 or 5 days.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring health, safety, quality and environmental policies to ensure industry standard compliance.

Some of the key responsibilities are:

  • Working closely with the management team in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards.
  • Providing training to employees and ensuring that all necessary safety equipment and procedures are in place.
  • Investigating incidents and near-misses to identify cause and develop corrective actions.
  • Participating in audits and inspections.
  • Leading and coordinating safety and quality committees.
  • Championing continual improvement projects.
  • Developing and maintaining quality documentation and initiatives.
  • Liaising with operations team to assess environmental impact and implementing measures and controls.

You should have previous HSQE and operational safety experience, ideally within a production or construction environment. You will have a good understanding of UK legislation and ideally have NEBOSH and/or IOSH certifications. You have the ability to lead projects with excellent communication, organisation and IT skills.
