Continuous Improvement Engineer

Location: Sandwich

Are you passionate about driving efficiency, reducing waste, and improving processes? We're looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team and play a key role in optimising our operations.

About the Role:

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you'll work across departments to identify and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and drive quality. Using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies, you'll lead projects that support business goals, ensuring measurable results and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Use data analysis and reporting to track progress and inform decision-making.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to optimise workflows.
  • Lead cross-functional projects, ensuring targets are met on time and within budget.
  • Train and mentor colleagues in process improvement techniques.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth implementation of changes.
  • Maintain documentation to support standardisation and best practices.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: At least two years in continuous improvement, process engineering, or quality improvement (manufacturing experience preferred).
  • Qualifications: Lean and/or Six Sigma certification, plus HNC/HND (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, data analysis, process mapping, and excellent communication.
  • Mindset: Proactive, results-driven, and passionate about operational excellence.

Desirable:

  • Experience in high-value, low-volume environments.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO14001, 27001, AS9100).
  • Strong presentation and reporting skills.
