We are currently seeking an experienced Slinger for an immediate start in the Scunthorpe area. This is a contract role working with a reputable tunnelling subcontractor on an exciting water infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely sling and direct loads during lifting operations.
- Communicate clearly with crane operators and site personnel.
- Ensure that all lifting activities are performed in accordance with site safety regulations and method statements.
- Inspect lifting equipment to ensure it is safe and fit for use.
- Assist the team with additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Slinger/Signaller qualification.
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within tunnelling or heavy civil engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of site health and safety practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-risk environment.
- Full UK driving licence is preferred.
