Key Responsibilities:
- Experienced within an Architectural metal work environment
- Ability to successful manage multiple projects simultaneously to tight deadlines
- Analyse project specifications, and other documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates
- Evaluate labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs to create accurate budgets
- Assess risks and incorporate contingencies where necessary
- Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project scope and requirements
- Engage with supply chain to obtain competitive pricing
- Prepare detailed proposal documents and cost summaries for client presentations
- Track and manage changes to project estimates during the planning and execution phases
- Stay updated on industry trends, cost fluctuations, and new technologies to improve accuracy
- Conduct market research to ensure competitive and fair pricing strategies
- Able to understand and interpret technical drawings, producing 3D images (SketchUp) would be advantageous
