OverviewWe are recruiting for a National Account Manager

What you'll be doingReporting to the director, the National Account Manager will be responsible and take overall responsibility for the Account Management team, providing guidance, support, and direction to all team members by driving engagement and fostering a positive team culture.Responsibilities:

* Manage and review the work of the team, ensuring all tasks are performed accurately to provide exceptional support to the business.* Develop and nurture a diverse portfolio of customers through proactive and reactive outreach and relationship building.* Oversee the account management of existing customers, ensuring their needs are met with care, commitment, and professionalism.* Implement strategies to grow and expand the customer base in conjunction with the Business Development and Marketing teams, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.* Conduct regular customer meetings to understand their evolving needs and provide tailored solutions.* Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities using the CRM system.* Manage the team's adherence to internal policies and procedures.* Help the business meet or exceed targets and KPIs.

Who we're looking forEssential:

* Previous experience in a services-related B2B sales / account management role.* Demonstrable strong knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.* Excellent attention to detail.* Intellectual curiosity to develop a deep understanding of business issues and proven ability to express recommendations professionally.* Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and an eagerness to collaborate with colleagues across the business.* Proven ability to liaise effectively with senior leaders, peers, and team members at all levels.* Ability to foster positive relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.* Demonstrable experience of working independently and autonomously while leading an engaged account management team.

Desirable:

* Experience in commercial contract management and negotiation (including NEC 3/4).

What we're offeringIn return for your hard work and dedication, the National Account Manager will receive:

* £43k to £48k per annum* Hybrid working arrangements between our head office in Selkirk and home.* 30 days Annual Leave (including Bank Holidays), rising to 34 with length of service.
