We are partnered with a very large organisation who are seeking a professional and experienced Payroll Team Leader to join their large & busy payroll department on a full time, permanent basis.

Reporting into the Head of Payroll this role will have an initial focus on leading on a new payroll system implementation, with a longer term BAU focus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Head of Payroll with day to day management of the team
  • Conducting 1:1s and appraisals
  • KPI reporting
  • Processing of high volume & complex payrolls on a weekly & monthly basis
  • Deputise for the Head of Payroll as required
  • Payroll year end duties
  • Reviews processes and recommending improvements
  • Lead and support on the new system implementation and training of the team where required

Experience required:

  • Strong UK payroll experience
  • Exposure to high volume & complex payrolls
  • Strong leadership & people management experienced
  • Experience of implementing a new payroll system
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Workday payroll experience is desirable
