LEGAL SECRETARY
SEVENOAKS
Circa 26- 30K

We are currently recruiting for a Legal practice based in Sevenoaks who are seeking a Legal Secretary or experienced Secretary within professional services to join their team. This is a well-established practice who we have recruited for previously so we know them well and can recommend them as an employer of choice!

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Trained in Secretarial Practice
  • Experience using all Microsoft products
  • Trained to high standard n word processing and audio typing
  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or working in a similar professional environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, agents and other thrid parties
  • Professional telephone manner
  • To be conversant with the qualitystandards as required by Lexcel and CQS and to work with the practice manual
  • Ability to work using own initiative with a high level of self management
  • Happy to work in a team environment and sometimes under pressure


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To prepare correspondence and documents through audio-typing and word processing in conjuction with the case managements system
  • To carry out daily functions such as filing , opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with the detailed procedures contained in the practice manual.
  • To make appointments, arrange meetings and to maintain an up to date diary for their Principal and ensure all meetings are booked into a conference room via the reception diary
  • To provide support to other principles/secretaries as required
  • To attend to clients both in person and on the telephone and to provide such support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firms standards for client care
  • To ensure principles time sheets are up to date
  • To ensure the confidentiality of all the firms and clients documentation and information
  • To provide cover for reception as required
