We are seeking a Furnished Tenancy Officer to join the Housing and Neighbourhoods Service team of a local authority in Sheffield. This role is essential in delivering frontline customer service to tenants in furnished accommodation, managing tenancy agreements, and performing various administrative duties.
Day-to-day of the role:-
Tenancy and Contract Management:
- Assist in gathering information for procurement.
- Arrange recharges for damages and losses.
- Manage council assets in furnished properties.
- Report safeguarding issues.

Customer Service and Communications:
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Adapt communication methods to meet tenant needs.
- Ensure efficient service delivery.

Service Delivery:
- Identify areas for improvement.
- Manage workload to minimize customer inconvenience.
- Assist in the quitting and letting of furnished tenancies.
- Maintain effective working relationships.

Business Processes and Information Management:
- Use information and communication systems effectively.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate records.
- Manage stock control and financial information.

Financial Management:
- Handle supply requests and liaise with external suppliers.

Other Duties:
- Perform additional related duties as required.
- Work flexibly, including some out-of-hours work.
- Proficient in office and administrative tasks.
- Competent in IT systems, including stock control and finance.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, participate in meetings, take minutes, and prepare property information for letting.
- Ability to handle initial customer enquiries, work flexibly, and meet deadlines.
