Join Sheffield City Council as a Furnished Tenancy Officer. This role involves delivering frontline customer service to Furnished Accommodation tenants, managing tenancy and contract obligations, and ensuring efficient service delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative and operational tasks to support the Furnished Operations team.
Day-to-day of the role:- Assist in the management of tenancy and contract obligations for Furnished Accommodation, including deed of variation and pre-quit negotiations.
- Arrange recharges for damage and loss of council assets and property.
- Manage council assets in furnished properties by completing relevant administrative duties.
- Report any safeguarding or system warning issues to an approved referrer.
- Provide excellent customer service, adapting communication methods to meet the needs of tenants and ensuring a positive impression of Sheffield City Council.
- Identify areas for improvement, contribute in meetings, and take minutes.
- Manage the planning and organisation of your workload to minimise customer inconvenience.
- Assist in the quitting and letting of Furnished Tenancies in line with Housing Policy and processes.
- Ensure administrational duties are consistent, accurate, and of a high standard.
- Assist in the effective use of information and communication systems, prepare reports, and ensure accurate data recording using various IT applications.
- Provide and input supplies requests and monitor information using IT systems.
- Liaise with external suppliers regarding goods provision and make business decisions regarding Furnished Accommodation stock when a property becomes vacant.
- Experience in tenancy and contract management, preferably within a furnished accommodation setting.
- Strong administrative skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to adapt communication styles.
- Proficiency in using IT systems for data management, including stock control and financial management.
- Ability to work flexibly, including some out-of-hours work as required.
