Our client has a fantastic new opportunity to join their team as an Area Sales Manager to play a key role in their ongoing growth and success.

As our client is a manufacturer selling via a supply chain, we are looking for an experienced sales professional who has worked within a similar role in a manufacturing environment.

The role will involve being based onsite in the Sheffield office usually two days per week, with the other days being spent attending onsite meetings with existing and potential new customers across the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop sales within your assigned territory, focusing on the current customer base and potential new customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service and promote awareness of the organisation and its products.
  • Advise stockists and new customers on product displays and positioning.
  • Follow up on customer requirements, maximising sales while adhering to procedures.
  • Stay up to date with competitors, products, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to generate and secure additional sales opportunities.

Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Previous sales experience, either internal or external.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Self-motivated and a team player.
  • Well-organised with good planning skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages.
  • Ambitious and resilient
  • Well-presented and professional.
