Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide tailored support to children with a variety of special educational needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning activities to suit the needs of each child.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages pupils to engage in learning and social activities.
  • Assist with the development of social skills and positive behaviour through interactive and engaging methods.
  • Monitor and record the progress of pupils, providing feedback to teachers and parents to help further support the children’s development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role, specifically within an SEN setting.
  • A strong desire to work with children with special needs and go above and beyond to support their education and wellbeing.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a DBS check on the update service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies.
