The role of the FP&A Analyst is to support the Accounting & Finance department of a leading industrial company, by providing insightful financial planning and analysis that will aid in key decision making.

Its Sheffield location is renowned for its commitment to excellence and they are seeking a new FP&A Analyst to join the commercial finance function.

Description

  • Lead on budgeting and forecasting processes

  • Produce variance analysis against forecasts

  • Provide accurate financial reports to management and stakeholders

  • Evaluate and rank profitability and produce performance reports

  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards

  • Reporting of commercial margins and analysis

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function

  • Assist in special projects as required by management

Profile

A successful FP&A Analyst should have:

  • Professional accounting certification, such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent

  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting

  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail

  • Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Advanced Excel skills (essential)

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
