Role Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of personal and trust tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals and clients with complex tax affairs
  • Reviewing tax returns and other compliance work prepared by junior colleagues
  • Providing proactive, efficient, and cost-effective tax advice to clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members, providing training, coaching, and guidance
  • Researching and drafting private client and employment tax advice
  • Liaising with colleagues across the firm to enhance client service and technical knowledge-sharing
  • Working alongside senior management and partners to improve team efficiency and tax processes
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline procedures and implement best practices

Candidate Requirements
  • CTA qualified or qualified by experience
  • At least four years’ post-qualification experience in Personal Tax
  • Strong technical expertise in personal and trust tax compliance and advisory work
  • Excellent client communication and relationship management skills
  • Effective time management and organisational abilities, with the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • A commercial mindset, able to identify tax planning opportunities for clients
  • Experience in supervising, training, and mentoring junior staff
  • Some tax advisory experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Exposure to other areas of tax (beneficial but not required)
