Senior Export Coordinator – Sheffield – Competitive Salary
Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be working with an established and long-standing manufacturer based in Sheffield who are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Export Coordinator to join their team.
This is a key position within our Operations Team, assuming overall responsibility for all shipping & logistics requirements within the company, implementing best practise and compliance with current legislation regarding exports.

Senior Export Coordinator duties:
- Negotiate rates with current suppliers and continually looking to engage with alternative logistic solutions
- Building and maintaining a professional relationship with new and existing suppliers
- Ensure materials are delivered to sites in a timely manner as per clients’ criteria
- Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs
- Review and advise relevant Incoterms and tariff codes
- Review and validate export documentation
- Reconciling supplier invoices & EU VAT
- Ordering of special packaging for shipments
- Monitor and track shipments, liaising with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agents
- Resolve shipping discrepancies or delays efficiently and professionally
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and documentation
- Identify opportunities to optimise costs and improve shipping timelines
Hours: 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday (1-hour lunch)
Required skills & experience:
- 3 years + recent multimodal export shipping experience with strong knowledge of customs regulations and international trade compliance
- Working knowledge and understanding of incoterms and tariff codes
- Experience and understanding of preference statements, production of export invoices, packing lists, transport documentation (airway bill (AWB), CMR, bills of lading)
