EHS Advisor Sheffield Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 D0ETHE ROLEA UK-based engineering and technology company with approximately 300 employees is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) professional. Operating across multiple locations in the UK and on international project sites, the company requires a dynamic and flexible individual to support EHS compliance and promote a culture of safety and sustainability.This role will ensure that engineering projects and workshop operations comply with all relevant EHS regulations, minimising risks and safeguarding the well-being of employees, contractors, and the public. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders at all levels, performing risk assessments, conducting audits, inspecting project sites, and delivering EHS training.MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
  • Drive cultural change towards a more proactive EHS approach and sustainable business model
  • Develop and monitor EHS risk strategies and plans
  • Conduct and lead internal and external EHS audits
  • Carry out task-specific risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Deliver toolbox talks and practical EHS training
  • Stay up-to-date with UK EHS legislation and compliance requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A Level, HNC, or equivalent practical experience
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or working towards Diploma
  • Experience in Environmental and Health & Safety management
  • Strong communication, IT, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience with capital projects, preferably turnkey
  • Familiarity with CDM regulations and COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards)
  • Auditing experience and understanding of management systems
