Description

The IT Support Engineer's roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • SCCM Management: Ensure the continual upgrade and maintenance of System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), keeping the site up-to-date through application deployment, content management, and patching.
  • Microsoft Intune Support: Provide daily diagnostics and technical support for end-user Windows devices, focusing on vulnerability management to keep devices secure and up-to-date.
    • Maintain and update Operating System Deployment (OSD) task sequences, including adding or removing drivers and applications as needed.
    • Deliver 3rd Line support for SCCM and Windows operating systems, including the broader IT estate, by creating and modifying Intune configurations for endpoints and managing application packaging.
    • Support automation scripts, troubleshooting, and scripting, using tools like Windows Defender, Intune, and SCCM to maintain device health and ensure endpoint compliance.

Profile

The successful IT Support Engineer will possess:

  • Proficiency in SCCM at a 2nd/3rd line support level.
  • Strong expertise in the Microsoft technical stack, particularly within the End-User space.
  • In-depth knowledge of Intune, Group Policy, Windows 10 & 11, and Microsoft Defender.
  • Basic familiarity with PowerShell scripting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to document changes, processes, and new technologies clearly.
  • A strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Familiarity with the ITIL Framework.
