We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in the South East Sheffield area. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with a competitive daily pay rate of £87.75 - £90.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • You will be working primarily in Key Stage 1, supporting Years 1 and 2
  • Providing one-to-one support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN), helping them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Assisting the class teacher with general classroom activities and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Delivering tailored support to small groups or individual pupils in core subjects like literacy and numeracy.
  • Encouraging pupil engagement, fostering self-confidence, and promoting independence in learning.
  • Assisting with classroom preparation, behavior management, and supervising pupils during breaks and transitions.

Requirements:

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with children in Key Stage 1 or supporting pupils with SEN would be an advantage.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with children of varying abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
  • Exhibit effective listening and verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to building positive children relationships and addressing their requirements.
  • Capable of offering individualised attention, encouragement, and learning support.
  • Possess an Enhanced DBS check or willing to obtain one through Randstad.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
