- Overall responsibility for site leadership where a service is currently without permanent management, or provide support to existing site leadership where additional support may be required with quality, finance and business development.
- Ensure that all service user documentation and records are maintained to a high standard in a timely manner, and that a programme of meaningful activities is available to all residents.
- Implement appropriate systems to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Lead the implementation of new services, drives referrals and admissions, and share best practice with other sites and the wider team.
- Motivate, monitor, and coach Service Managers to ensure they are delivering services of the optimum quality.
- Tavel across the Southwest of Yorkshire will be required and there will be an expectation to take part in on-call duties at night. The role may require you to be based at a site full time for an undefined period, meaning staying away from home throughout the week if home is far away from the site.
- You must have extensive experience of managing and leading ‘good’ adult social care services and have knowledge and experience of managing change and site turnaround.
- You do not need to be a qualified nurse, although this would be beneficial.
- Will have detailed and up to date knowledge of the social care industry, regulatory matters and current best practice.
- A valid UK driving licence is essential for the role as is regular CPD to ensure the role holder is up to date and credible in a wide range of areas. In addition, they will be expected to undergo specific statutory and regulatory training as the role requires from time to time.
- Understanding of the key business activities associated with leading a care home, specialist service, or supported living operation.
- You must have detailed knowledge of CQC regulation and standards, having worked in a Registered Manager or Peripatetic Manager in the last three years.
