TeacherActive is looking for a Qualified Teacher to work in amazing SEND schools across Sheffield. We work with Primary, Secondary, and Post-16 settings with vacancies for Qualified Teachers on a part-time and full-time basis. These roles are initially on a supply basis but have the opportunity to become permanent for the right person.

As a Teacher, your responsibilities will include delivering lessons on a whole class and 1:1 basis, supporting and developing students with SEND , and catering your teaching to each student’s needs. The ideal SEND QTS should have the following:

  • A dedicated person who has QTS
  • Experience in Special Educational Needs teaching
  • A calm, patient, and caring persona
  • Good behaviourmanagement
  • A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
  • Experience in working with and supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
