Join a family-run food manufacturing business with over 140 years of history. We are currently seeking a Production Scheduler to join our passionate and dedicated team. This role involves working closely with our Planning, Procurement, and Production Teams, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference within a friendly and supportive environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Determine production requirements based on plant capacity, labour capacity, and product specifications.
  • Convert the production forecast into a fully resourced manufacturing schedule.
  • Provide a 4-week rolling plan and schedule work orders, updating and maintaining the ERP system accordingly.
  • Liaise with the Finance Department and Production colleagues to determine the most financially commercial way of compiling schedules.
  • Work closely with the Procurement Department to establish lead times for materials and identify any potential concerns with delays in material dispatch.
  • Conduct regular meetings to track production schedules in coordination with the Manufacturing Planning Manager and operations team to ensure customer service and product availability.
  • Coordinate with the Finance Department to capture variances to plan with reasons and feedback on opportunities for efficiency benefits.
  • Maintain good levels of working relationships across multiple departments, providing information and responses to queries quickly and accurately.
  • Highlight any potential concerns or delays that may impact the manufacturing of products, other departments, and customers.
  • Chair and attend meetings related to the scheduling and planning aspects of the organisation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
  • Solution-driven with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Confident in communicating both verbally and in writing.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle required due to travel between sites in Sittingbourne, Kent.
