Site Manager – School Build

Fairmead is hiring on behalf of a valued client for an experienced Site Manager to lead the construction of a single-storey science block on a live school site in Sittingbourne.

Job Details:

• Location: Sittingbourne

• Shifts: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Duration: 40 weeks

The Role:

As Site Manager, you’ll oversee daily site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to a high standard. You’ll manage, subcontractors, and logistics while keeping disruptions to the school to a minimum.

This is a hands-on role, so we’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and work alongside the team when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing all site operations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment

• Managing and coordinating subcontractors and site personnel

• Ensuring strict compliance with H&S regulations and school site protocols

• Communicating effectively with the client, school representatives, and project stakeholders

• Problem-solving on-site to keep the project on track

What You Need:

• SMSTS 

• DBS check (Enhanced is preffered)

• First Aid at Work certification

• CSCS card

• Proven experience managing construction projects on live school sites

• A proactive attitude—this role needs someone who’s hands-on and ready to get involved
