Join a family-run food manufacturer with a rich history spanning over 140 years. We are excited to expand our New Product Development (NPD) department and are looking for a skilled and innovative New Product Development Executive to bring creativity and expertise to our team.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage NPD and EPD projects from conception through to launch, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer expectations.
  • Generate new product ideas and opportunities, both for new and existing products, ensuring they are feasible within manufacturing constraints.
  • Develop products in accordance with established manufacturing and technical procedures, including adherence to HACCP plans.
  • Coordinate with factory personnel and key stakeholders to plan and conduct factory production trials.
  • Liaise with the Purchasing team to source new and suitable raw materials.
  • Conduct presentations and product evaluations with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure all new products meet statutory, company, and customer requirements.
  • Stay updated on competitor and industry activity and trends.
  • Support promotional activities for new and existing products, including photography, exhibitions, and the development of serving suggestions and recipes.
  • Manage the development programme in line with BRCGS and customer standards.
  • Perform testing and analysis to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree in a food-related subject.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a food product development capacity.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in product development.
  • Working knowledge of BRCGS and multiple retailer standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results within deadlines.
  • Proactive approach towards continuous improvement and innovation in product development processes.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
