EYFS Teaching Assistant

Prospero are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to work with a school in the Crumpsall. The strongest applicant will have confidence in Mathematics and English.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting Learning Activities: Assisting the teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.
  • Observations and Assessments: Observing children's progress and behaviour and recording observations to inform assessments. Contributing to the planning and evaluation of activities based on children's individual needs and interests.
  • Preparing Learning Environment: Setting up and maintaining a stimulating and safe learning environment. Preparing and organising resources and materials for daily activities.
  • Supporting Social and Emotional Development: Encouraging positive interactions and social skills among children. Providing emotional support and helping children to develop self-confidence and independence.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicating effectively with parents, carers, and other staff members.
  • Behaviour Management: Implementing positive behaviour management strategies to create a supportive and respectful learning environment. Addressing any challenging behaviour in a constructive and consistent manner.
  • Inclusive Practices: Adapting activities and resources to meet the diverse needs of the children.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent (Desirable)
  • Previous experience working with young people.
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional references.
