Your new companyHays has been approached by a primary school in the Skelmersdale area who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to start immediately on a full-time basis until Easter as a minimum. This school provides a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils, regardless of ability or background. We have an excellent relationship with this school and have always had good feedback from staff placed there. Your new roleIn the role as a teaching assistant, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the class teacher as well as supporting the needs of the pupils, whether that be in a group or 1:1 setting in KS1 or KS2. You will need to provide additional support with phonics, reading, numeracy and literacy. You should possess good behaviour management skills and be able to hit the ground running when being placed in school. What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. As the schools are recruiting immediately for this role, it would be ideal if you could jump straight into the role, however, do not let this put you off applying, as we are always receiving new roles.
