We are seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to manage various day-to-day financial operations within our school. The successful candidate will work closely with the School Finance Manager to ensure robust financial control and compliance, playing a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the institution.
Day-to-day of the role:- Financial Administration: Handle daily financial tasks such as invoice processing, payroll administration, and managing expense claims.
- Budget Management: Assist in preparing and monitoring the school budget to ensure effective resource allocation.
- Financial Reporting: Generate reports and statements for the School Business Manager and departmental heads.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures, maintaining robust internal controls.
- Support: Provide financial advice and support to staff
- Education: GCSEs including Maths and English; A levels in Maths, Business Studies, or Economics are advantageous.
- Experience: Previous experience in a finance role, preferably within an educational setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills; proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office.
- Role Requirements: Previous experience working in a school is desirable but not essential.
Candidates should have strong system skills, effective team working skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
