We are working with a global freight forward and logistics business who are looking to appoint a Multi-Modal Export Executive. Looking for someone with proven experience within Air Freight, Sea Freight and Road Freight.
Main Duties:
- Booking shipments with airlines, ocean carriers and NVOCC’s, Whilst the position is heavily weighted towards ocean exports you will be required to handle air freight exports where necessary.
- Create & issue quotations to prospects, customers and overseas offices inline with the operational SOP.
- Ensure all quotations are followed up and actioned accordingly.
- Arrange collections with external parties.
- Booking of shipments into CargoWise.
- Dealing with overseas offices.
- Prepare, control and distribute all required documentation to counterparts complying with regulations and internal procedures.
- Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers
- Arrange the release and transportation of goods received to cargo importers.
- Negotiate terms and rates
- Provide on call support
Skills / Qualifications:
- Proficient working knowledge of CargoWise & CDS.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Leadership skills.
- Numeracy and computer literacy.
- Flexible approach
