Back to searchVerve People are hiring a CDP on behalf of our client who are an Adult Social Care Home. They are looking for someone to work 27 hours a week, over 5 days, with alternative weekends.
This is a fixed term contract until the beginning of January 2025.
Your current duties and responsibilities are:
1. Ensure that good standard of hygiene cleanliness is maintained throughout the kitchen, to meet the required standards of practice prescribed by the environmental health agencies.
2. To complete HACCP and all other paperwork required for the role and keep up to date.
3. Direct and supervise kitchen staff and ensure that they are aware of their responsibilities with regard to food hygiene and preparation safety requirements.
4. Work closely with the homes manager to plan menu's which reflect choices and preferences of the service users.
5. To ensure that supplies are ordered in accordance with the planned menu and that accurate stock control and good food management is maintained.
6. To prepare, cook and present well balanced meals and beverages to the highest quality incorporating cultural and dietary needs of the service users.
7. To ensure that equipment is well maintained, in good working order and to log and defects and report.
8. Attend Staff meetings and other meetings training.
9. Confidentiality. To Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the Data protection policy and procedures.
10. To participate in the operation of the Council's Appraisal Scheme.
11. It is your responsibility to carry out your duties in line with the Council's policy on equality and be sensitive and caring to the needs of the disadvantaged, promoting a positive approach to a harmonious working environment. You should act as an exemplar on these issues and should identify and monitor training for yourself and any employees for whom you are responsible, in line with this policy and the Equalities Act 2010.
12. Such other duties as may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of the post to assist the Service Area in the fulfilment of its objectives commensurate with the post holder's salary grade, abilities, and aptitudes.
13. The post holder must at all times carry out his/her responsibilities with due regard to the Council's policy, organisation and arrangements for Health and Safety at Work.
You will require the below:
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Prep/Catering and Food Hygiene
Experience in a care setting and knowledge of HACCP
Ability to work shifts, weekends and Bank Holidays if needed
Enhanced DBS with Adults Barred List (must also be on the Update Service)
