A leading manufacturer of high-quality goods, known for excellence and innovation are looking to recruit an experienced Cost Accountant based in Solihull. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cost Accountant to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in cost analysis and financial planning within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You may be a member of the finance team but you will be on the shop floor, getting into the details of the manufacturing costing.
As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for analysing production costs, preparing financial reports, and providing valuable insights to improve cost efficiency. You will work closely with the finance and operations teams to ensure accurate costing and budgeting. You will fix standard costing issues, create BOM and PPV reporting for the business to improve profitability.
Ideally you will:
- Have experience working in a manufacturing business and be able to analyse and report on production costs, variances, and profitability using BOM, PPV and standard costing variances.
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts related to manufacturing costs within sage 200, working closely with people on the shop floor to get into the detail.
- Work closely with production and procurement teams to track cost efficiency's and identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Monitor and analyse inventory valuation and control, look at system improvements and be apart of an ERP journey in the next two years.
