Hybrid working pattern: x2 days in the Croydon office (1 of which is the Service day - Wednesdays) + 1 other. Rest of the week work from home.

Description

Duties / responsibilities* Make direct contact with school leavers and / or their parents / carers to establish their current employment, education or training activity.* Where necessary, liaise with other services (including other LAs) and organisations to exchange information about school leavers and ensure relevant support.* Deliver the work plan, making best use of available resources.* Undertake accurate, timely recording using digital caseload management system to meet Department for Education statutory requirements.* Maintain relationships with other professionals to improve outcomes for 16-18 year olds.* Consistently apply relevant policies and procedures including safeguarding, health & safety and equality & diversity to ensure a compliant service.* Undertake any other duties in order to meet service and organisational objectives following consultation with line or team manager.Key relationships* External: school leavers, parents, carers, employers, education and training providers and community organisations.* Internal: Croydon Council staffWho we are looking forExperience* Previous experience of NEET tracking work (desirable).* Demonstrable experience of partnership working.* Demonstrable experience of engaging / working with school leavers.* Demonstrable experience of extensive phone-based work (essential).* Demonstrable experience of professional communication through verbal and written means.
