KCR Solutions are excited to be recruiting a Project Accountant to join a growing and dynamic business at their South Shields site. This role is perfect for a qualified accountant with experience in a project-based role in engineering/manufacturing. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, able to set goals and objectives with little direction in a fast-paced and changing environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage project finances, ensuring projects remain within budget.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyse project costs and variances.
  • Maintain project WIP schedule.
  • Oversee revenue and cost recognition for large capital projects.
  • Manage cash flow and ensure timely milestone payments.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure financial accuracy and successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with the finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager.
  • Assist Finance Manager with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Perform other accounting tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant, CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US/UK GAAP.
  • Proven experience in engineering/manufacturing accounting for large-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost management in a project environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly with project teams.
