We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will need to have a valid driver CPC qualification, DQC and digital tachograph card.
Duties
- Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the delivery and collection of goods to and from locations across the PO Postcode area, driving an automatic vehicle.
- Expectation of 45-50 drops per day across a defined route.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order, bringing to Management attention any defects with the vehicle
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items, using lifting equipment provided, as required.
- Monday to Friday, no weekends
- Maintain accurate delivery records through use of a handheld PDA.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring a safe driving environment for yourself and others on the road.
- Communicate effectively with team members and the traffic department at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence with a 7.5t entitlement.
- Valid HGV Driver CPC essential
- Proven experience as a multi-drop delivery driver in a similar commercial driving role is essential.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in routing deliveries.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
