We are seeking a dedicated Maths Lecturer to join our team, focusing on delivering A-level Mathematics to international students. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about education and has a strong desire to contribute to the development and success of our centre. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting our strategic aims and objectives and providing high-quality teaching to students whose first language is not English.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching to achieve excellent student outcomes and progression.
  • Monitor student progress and provide both formative and summative feedback to manage performance effectively.
  • Set and mark work and assessments in line with our assessment and quality policies.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of programmes, materials, and related services.
  • Continuously develop teaching methods and participate in professional development activities.
  • Embed English, Maths, and transferable skills within lessons to support student progression to higher education.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to teaching duties and participate actively in relevant meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and statutory frameworks, including Safeguarding, Health and Safety, and Equality and Diversity.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mathematics or a relevant subject area (essential).
  • Competency in English language to IELTS 8.0 or equivalent (essential).
  • Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (desirable).
  • Teaching qualification (desirable).
  • Proven experience in face-to-face teaching or training in the relevant subject area (essential).
  • Experience in online or blended course delivery (desirable).
  • Experience working with international students where English is not their first language (desirable).
  • Familiarity with UK further education or higher education systems (desirable).
  • Proficiency in using student management systems and virtual learning environments (VLE) (desirable).
