What Is The Main Focus Of The Role
- Overseeing the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and support of the company's IT hardware, software, and communication systems, ensuring compliance with established change control processes.
- Leading and executing cost/risk technical projects, system upgrades, and implementations, while offering advanced technical support to business users and IT systems across the organisation.
- Taking full responsibility for the proactive management of the infrastructure team's operational support queue.
Day to Day activities include:
- Apply best practice for installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting the IT Infrastructure within the business
- Adhering to ISO process to deliver a high grade of IT and customer support
- Ensure that the Group's systems, IT Infrastructure and data are secure and protected in line with best practice (cyber security awareness and expertise).
- Training and support of new users across software and IT services
- Support the IT Service Desk by acting as a final escalation point and internal expert on anything Infrastructure related.
Skills & Experience required:
- Solid understanding of key technologies used including Microsoft Windows, Office365, Azure, VMWare, NetApp filers, VoIP and Cisco networking.
- Experience of using an IT ticketing system
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of PC hardware, software, and their components in a business environment
- Proven troubleshooting skills
- Team player with a strong attention to detail
