My client is a very established Shipping Line, with offices across the UK and the Globe. They are offering a fantastic package and opportunity for a new Operations Manager to join their team and help lead Import Operations. The right candidate will be an experienced Operations or Office Manager, who has worked previously for a UK based Logistics or Shipping Specialist. Deputy or Assistant Manager's would also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate import logistics activities on a national scale, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards
  • Lead the import team, providing guidance and support in the execution of import processes
  • Collaborate with suppliers, customs brokers, and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective import of goods
  • Develop and implement import strategies to optimise processes and reduce lead times
  • Monitor and analyse import performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
  • Handle any import-related issues and provide timely resolutions
  • Stay updated on import regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience working for a UK based Shipping Line
  • Previous Import Operation experience.
  • Previous Leadership Experience within the Shipping and Logistics Industry.
