Position : Electronics Technician

Location : Southampton

Hours of Work : 39 hour week (Mon - Thu 0730 to 1600hrs, Fri 0730 to 1500hrs)

Pay : 15.00 - 20 per hour according to experience

Duration : 3-6 months

This position will see you supporting a full time, experienced employee and you will be involved with the service, maintenance, faultfinding and repair of electronic systems including :-

  • Radar
  • Access control systems
  • CCTV
  • X Ray
  • Weather stations
  • Fire and Security systems

The role will require working both indoors and outdoors

Some of the work will require you to climb structures to access the equipment and working at heights up to 25 metres

About you

  • You will have a formal qualification to NVQ Level 3 or higher in electronics or very similar
  • Experience of fault-finding, service, repair etc of electronic systems is essential. As an example, fire alarm systems, burglar / intruder alarm systems, building management systems
  • You MUST have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the contract which is expected to be 6 months
  • IT Literate, any experience of CMMS is beneficial but not essential
  • Good attention to detail, able to complete records of work done accurately
  • Able to work at heights
  • Able to work as part of a team - you will work very closely with a Senior Engineer for the duration of the contract
