We are looking for a nanny with SEN experience to work with a 4 year old autistic little boy.  He has communication and social interaction delays, is currently non verbal but has picked up using PECS incredibly quickly and has started using some words.  He has attended mainstream nursery settings previously but we need someone in the home until he goes to school full time.  He has an approved EHCP and is an affectionate, friendly little boy who loves being outside.  Hours - Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm There are opportunities to travel with the family as well should you wish to go, last year they went to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Spain and Portugal.  The ideal candidate will have experience in: 
  • Writing IEPs
  • Following EHCP
  • Attention Autism
  • Confident with SEN children
  • 4+ years of SEN Childcare experience
  • A great understanding of Autism and experience supporting a non-verbal child
  • Ability to provide support with toileting, speech and language development
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Patience, compassion, and a deep understanding of the challenges that come with caring for children with special needs
  • Physically able to care for 1 active 4 year old boy
