Job Title: Foundation Learning LecturerLocation: Southend-on-SeaHourly Rate: The hourly rate for this role is between £25 and £35, depending on experience and qualifications.Contract Type: Temporary
Role Overview:We are seeking a passionate and experienced Foundation Learning Lecturer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, inclusive education to foundation learners, helping them develop the skills and confidence to succeed in their academic journey and beyond.Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to the needs of foundation learners.
- Provide personalized support to students to help them achieve their goals.
- Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback and guidance as necessary.
- Develop and update course materials and resources that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to provide holistic support to students.
- Ensure all safeguarding and health & safety policies are followed.
Key Requirements:
- A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE, or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards one.
- Experience in teaching or supporting students with additional learning needs or in foundation learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to student success and providing tailored support.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- An understanding of the challenges faced by foundation learners and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
