Facilities AssistantNewark, Full Time, Permanent£23,500 - £25,000DOE

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Facilities Assistant to join our successful global client based in Newark. We are looking for someone who can provide an efficient Facilities service to meet customer requirements and support the wider team.

THE ROLE

As a Facilities Assistant you will have experience in Administration and Customer Services ensuring the highest standard of service delivery, other responsibilities include:

  • Providing an efficient Receptionist/Telephonist service for daily periods
  • Organising car hire when required and verify fuel cards
  • Archiving duties for the internal database
  • Arranging First Aid at Work & Defibrillator Refresher courses for all First Aiders on site
  • Provide scheduled and reactive on-site maintenance checks
  • Departmental Administration, filing documents, travel arrangements, and support activities
  • Supporting with Health & Safety procedures within the Facilities Department and support other departments on site.
  • Providing cover for the department when required, (lunch breaks, holidays, sick leave, etc) to ensure continuity of operations.
THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Facilities Assistant will be self-motivated and be able to use initiative, prioritize your work and demonstrate the following key skills and experience:

  • Experience of coordinating and supervising building contractors
  • Using office computer systems Word, Excel (Intermediate levels); PowerPoint (Basic); Outlook
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance tasks and use of hand tools
  • Good understanding of H&S and safe working practices
  • Good Problem-Solving techniques
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
