Our client is a small, friendly but dedicated IT support company based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, and they’re looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Technician to join their close-knit team.
As part of a small team, your work will make a real difference to local businesses, so they’re looking for someone with great attention to detail and the ability to communicate technical information clearly. You’ll need to feel comfortable speaking to clients over the phone, as well as writing both client-friendly responses and technical documentation for internal and external use.
This is an in-office role, so applicants must be able to commute to their St Ives office daily. If you’re ready to take on a role where your work will directly impact the success of their clients, they’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Handling all customer contact via telephone and email
- Listening to and understanding the user's issue
- Accurately logging all incidents, requests and calls using a ticket system
- Providing technical support via telephone and use of remote control software
- Keeping within service level agreed response and resolution times
- Escalating incidents and requests in line with SLA
- Updating Users of progress
- Checking monitoring alerts for on-line backups and endpoint security
- Creating and updating customer documentation
- PC/Mac builds and configurations
Skills and Qualifications
- A strong passion for IT and a desire to continually learn and grow
- Windows 10 and Windows 11 trouble shooting
- Microsoft Office - must be a competent user to be able to provide end user support
- A keen eye for detail is essential
- The ability to prioritise your workload
- Planning, verbal and written communication skills
