HR Manager - Luxury 4 Hotel, St Albans*

Quest Employment is delighted to recruit for a Human Resources Manager to join a prestigious 4-star hotel in St Albans, Hertfordshire. This is a pivotal role where you’ll drive HR operations, employee engagement, training, and compliance while fostering a positive and dynamic workplace culture.

Your Role:

As the HR Manager, you will support all aspects of the Human Resources function within the hotel, including:

  • Managing the employee lifecycle - from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and exit interviews.
  • Driving employee engagement and company culture, ensuring alignment with the hotel's vision and values.
  • Providing expert guidance on employment law and supporting managers with HR best practices.
  • Identifying training needs to support the ongoing development of employees and enhance guest service.
  • Building relationships with local colleges, universities, and community partners to attract top talent.
  • Ensuring HR strategies align with business objectives and promote a high-performance culture.
  • Leading succession planning, team assessments, and talent retention strategies.
  • Creating a diverse, inclusive, and supportive workplace that fosters motivation and well-being.
  • Collaborating with department heads to design learning opportunities and career development plans.
  • Shaping the employer brand to attract high-caliber professionals and position the hotel as an employer of choice.
  • Partnering with the owners and General Manager to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business success.

About You:

  • CIPD Level 5+ qualification (or equivalent degree in Human Resources preferred).
  • 10+ years of HR experience, including management-level responsibilities.
  • Hospitality industry experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • A passion for people and the ability to create a culture of engagement, innovation, and excellence.
