Para / Legal Assistant

Are you a dedicated and experienced para/legal assistant seeking a rewarding role in a dynamic and growing law firm?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, passionate team of legal professionals committed to providing exceptional client service.

Our client is a forward-thinking firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal advice in a clear and accessible manner. As they continue to expand, they are looking for a talented para/legal assistant to contribute to their ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential support to conveyancing partners, assisting with various tasks throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Effectively communicate and liaise with clients, mortgage lenders, and other relevant third parties to ensure smooth transaction progress.
  • Draft and manage correspondence with clients, prepare necessary documentation, and review replies to requisitions on title.
  • Proactively identify and procure suitable indemnity insurance policies to mitigate potential risks.
  • Prepare completion statements, payment slips, and telegraphic transfers for partner review and approval.
  • Conduct property searches, analyse title deeds, and prepare necessary documents for first registration with the Land Registry.
  • Schedule deed completion, prepare final letters, and ensure accurate recording of undertakings.
  • Contribute to other conveyancing tasks as required by the firm

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of property law and conveyancing procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Experience working within a legal framework and adhering to professional codes of conduct.
  • A qualification as a Legal Executive or Paralegal would be an advantage.
