- Support procurement activities across the council in accordance with regulations and internal policies
- Assist with the preparation and evaluation of tenders and quotations
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring contract compliance
- Provide advice and guidance to internal departments regarding procurement best practice
- Maintain records of contracts and procurement processes for audit and transparency
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and opportunities
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements and procurement strategy development
- Previous experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably in the public sector
- Proficient in using procurement or financial management systems
- Strong understanding of UK procurement regulations and frameworks
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
