I am supporting a globally recognised engineering consultancy in their recruitment of their Senior Consultant - Environmental Permitting based from their St Helens offices.

Skills & Experience;

  • You will Contribute and develop the team’s multidisciplinary work and manage the preparation of permit applications.
  • Prepare quotes and invoices and support, manage projects and support senior members manage complex projects.
  • Management of projects in compliance with the companies Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Support junior team members to help their development. Engage with existing clients to help maintain compliance with extant permits and support them in future permitting work. Support senior team members identify and win new work.
  • Take responsibility for project delivery, use initiative and work both with and without supervision. Continue to develop technical knowledge including identifying and attending relevant training.
  • Ideally you will have a minimum 6 years’ relevant experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of permitting and a good understanding of how permitting and other regulatory frameworks interact.
  • Have knowledge of EMS and QMS.
  • Detailed understanding of environmental risk assessment tools e.g. LandSim.
  • First degree in a relevant Science or Geography or Civil Engineering
  • Good IT skills especially MS Word and Excel.
  • Membership of a relevant Chartered Institute & working towards Chartered Membership.
