Individual Needs Assistant
Our highly regarded Primary school in St Leonards are looking for a dedicated and bubbly Individual Needs Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil who needs additional support.

An Individual Needs Assistant will responsible for facilitating and providing tailored support to a student, helping them understand and navigate their studies, encourage them to focus, build resilience and develop coping strategies. You will work closely with teachers, parents and external professionals to create a supportive and safe environment for the pupil.
This is a pivatol role that will assist with the students development of social skills, emotional regulation and academic engagement through the use of interventions, all in a supportive and nurturing environment.
This is an absolutely wonderful opportunity for individuals who are looking to start a career in education or hone their existing skills with SEN children. Graduates are also welcome, this is a chance to get first hand experience to build a career in psychology, sociology and teaching.

Responsibilities of an Individual Needs Assistant:
- Behaviour and pastoral support.
- Take an active role in forward planning with therapists.
- Ability to build robust and effective relationships with students.
- Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students.
- Ensure safeguarding of students, in line with procedures.
